Hi,
I have been in Australia over a month now, and I’m getting used to a routine. We are in our second week of school. I’m driving (watch out Sydney!) and things are going pretty well.
A few things I love:
The people, they are very welcoming and helpful.
The sky, I think the Southern Cross constellation is beautiful.
The tea, I love the traditional “cuppa” about three times a day- breaky (breakfast), morning tea (10:30 am), and afternoon tea (4:00pm). I like mine a bit white (with milk), and two sugars.
The meals: brekkie, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner (or Tea) and a later evening snack is Supper.
I had missed the Canadian spellings of certain words, so I’m re-familiarizing myself with colour, favourite, centre, tyre, and many more words that vary in spelling from the American orthograph patterns.
I have much more to write, but I need to get back to lessons. Thank you for praying, please continue, to pray for grace as I adjust to school routines, and prepare for lessons. I want to be an example for my fifteen students.
Please let me know how I can pray for you.
Love in Christ,
Beth:)
Thanks for sharing . Would love to see the Southern Cross. The SAT scores of your class were good…well done, teach! Mrs. Terri Roy is teaching your class this year. Her kids are helping her get ready. She is from FLA ans has 3 kids. One , Ashley, will be in our school in 9th. Her older daughter just graduated and her sor is a senior, but will not be coming to our school. Doing fine, tho Tim Crawley is curious, but good devotions. : )
