I have a huge praise!!
Last week (June 4-7) I went up to Canada to make a request in person for the RCMP to verify that I have no criminal record in Canada. The officer told me it could take weeks for it to be processed. It came today in the mail!! What an amazing thing. I think the Lord really wanted me to go back to Canada. 🙂 I made a request by mail back in March and was told it could take four months. In looking at the date of my certificate it was mailed the day I got fingerprinted! Wow! I know that’s the Lord’s intervention because Canada Post has had union and striking problems, so it coming so quickly is a huge praise.
My brother-in-law’s brother also created a prayer card for me. Thank you Cullen!
The day after I got back from Montreal, I started to babysit three delightful children around the clock at the grandparents home while the parents went on a tenth anniversary trip. I got to be Mary Poppins for six days. It was fun. No, we didn’t feed birds but we did feed horses.
I am tired, kids wear you out, and this was not just day time. Duties included bath time, bedtime, and getting up with the birds, uh kids. 🙂 I’ve watched these three grow up and it has been wonderful to spend time with this family. We took walks to see neighbor horses, played make-believe, played in a wading pool, tried to get Becca to walk (15 months old) and read a lot of books.
I will still need to wait for my visa approval, but now it is up to immigration. 🙂 Thank you for praying.
For other news my sister and brother-in-law, Meg and Duncan have arrived in Alberta. They are getting settled in, and Duncan should start a ministry internship soon.
Love in Christ,
